Good colleagues, good boss and your salary. These are the most important factors when young people choose employers. It shows the answers from 850 young members in Vision.

The factors were ranked highest when Vision received an answer from almost 850 young professionals members what matters most when choosing employers. They had a variety of factors and then chose out three factors that were most important to them. Almost 45 percent chose good colleagues and almost 38 percent a good boss. Good pay was also in the top.

Through questionnaire responses, Vision has received input and responses from nearly 850 members up to 35 years, about issues related to the job within the welfare field.

“A good boss / leadership” and “I have colleagues to cup with and support” also come to the top when choosing factors that are most important for a good working environment. Reasonable workload is also high.

“The fact that colleagues and managers are highlighted shows that it is important to feel the community and to feel that it is important. Employers in the coming years have a great challenge in succeeding young people to start working with them – listen to these results and then shape the prerequisites for doing a good job, says Vision’s federal chairman Veronica Magnusson.

The survey shows, among other things, that for many young members who work in welfare, working life has become as expected or even better. They have interesting duties and good colleagues. Most people find that their workplace offers secure employment relationships and that the employer stands for good values. At the same time, wages and opportunities for career development are not sufficiently perceived.

Other reasons why working life has not lived up to expectations is lack of good introduction and that managers do not support themselves as they should.

– We are many who have experienced it already – but these results show it again, the dream job can really be in the welfare. However, we need to be there and constantly work for good wages, the opportunity to have a good working environment and present leadership, “says Veronica Magnusson.
